Subcontractor Administrator

The Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity (CVOEO) Weatherization Program is the local service provider for VT's Weatherization Program in Addison, Chittenden, Franklin and Grand Isle Counties.  CVOEO is looking for a Subcontractor Administrator to join our dynamic team!  The Subcontractor Administrator will be responsible for the recruitment, retention and management of all trades subcontractors to include abatement, electrical, heating, plumbing, etc. utilized by Champlain Valley Weatherization Services (CVWS).  The Administrator will receive requests for subcontractor work from Efficiency Coaches, Auditors and the Production Coordinator, bid out the work when required, and manage and inspect the completed work.  In addition this position will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with CVWS's subcontractor pool in order to maintain an efficient production schedule, highest quality of work and keep costs in the range desired to ensure successful completion of all grants managed by CVWS.  To learn more about this position, please review our job description:  Subcontractor Administrator


Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:  High School diploma or GED and five to seven years' experience in the building trades; working knowledge of all housing related sub-contractor trades; understanding of building systems and codes; basic understanding of energy efficient construction a plus; and excellent verbal and written communication skills - bilingual abilities are a plus. 


We are looking for a team player with a positive, can-do attitude! This position is physically demanding. Desired qualifications include training in OSHA 10. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required. This is a full time position with excellent benefits.
