IF YOU THINK YOU HAVE BEEN DISCRIMINATED AGAINST IN HOUSING...

1) Call the Vermont Human Rights Commission: 802-828-1625, 1-800-416-2010, 1-877-294-9200 (TDD)

The Vermont Human Rights Commission protects people from unlawful discrimination in housing, state government employment, and public accommodations. The commission provides conciliation/mediation services, public education, and information and referrals and also advances effective human rights public policies and enforcing laws.

2) Call Vermont Law Help line at 1-800-889-2047 or fill out a Legal help Request Form.

The Housing Discrimination Law Project (HDLP) represents individuals and organizations in court and before state agencies, housing authorities, municipal governments and the legislature. HDLP also provides help, advice, and limited legal services to people who believe they may have been discriminated against; conducts housing discrimination investigations; and educates the public about housing discrimination practices.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SCHEDULE A FAIR HOUSING TRAINING OR REVIEW OF YOUR MUNICIPAL BYLAWS...
