Chittenden County Regional Housing Convening

Please join the Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission (CCRPC) and the Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity (CVOEO) for the next Chittenden County Regional Housing Convening on Thursday, April 18th at 5:30pm at Hula (50 Lakeside Ave., Burlington)! WHAT TO EXPECT

This event will focus on housing action and the 2025 Chittenden County Regional ECOS Plan.

To highlight Fair Housing Month, we'll have facilitated small-group discussions about the new book Just Action: How to Challenge Segregation Enacted Under the Color of Law by Richard and Leah Rothstein. Copies of the book are available for purchase at Phoenix Books. Attendees are not required to read the book. However, we hope that folks will take some time to familiarize themselves with the concepts explored in the book in advance. We will provide a guide to help with this in the coming weeks! [Related event opportunity: To kick off Fair Housing Month, CVOEO's Fair Housing Project and the VT Human Rights Commission are hosting a special conversation with Richard and Leah Rothstein on April 1 to discuss this book. This housing convening will also provide an opportunity to share feedback related to the draft 2025 Chittenden County Regional ECOS Plan. The 2025 ECOS Plan is a foundational document that will guide CCRPC's work in the housing space over the next eight years.

SCHEDULE

5:30: Welcome + buffet dinner (catered by Mulu's Kitchen)

6:00-8:00: A mix of small- and full-group discussions
