Paul Dragon, CVOEO’s executive director, was awarded the 2023 Timothy Bovat Civic Involvement Award this past Thursday during a special ceremony held at Peoples Trust Company.

The annual recognition – awarded by the Franklin County Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Bovat family since 2000 – is presented to individuals or groups who stand out in service to the local community.

Lisa Bovat, who gave the award Thursday night, said Dragon was integral in helping Tim’s House find stronger footing under the administration of the Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity. The emergency shelter became a part of the nonprofit’s network of programs back in July of 2022.
