Feeding Chittenden will be changing its name on Tuesday while also unveiling a new food security campaign.
The organization's new name will be Feeding Champlain Valley, a change they said will reflect how they've expanded their reach in our region over the years.
Along with the new name, they are also publicly launching the Fund to Feed Champlain Valley campaign, in which they hope to raise $7.5 million.
Paul Dragon, the Executive Director of the Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity, said they have already raised $5 million for that campaign.
Organizers said the funds will go toward renovating Feeding Champlain Valley's hub in Addison County and expanding programming throughout Addison, Chittenden, Franklin and Grand Isle Counties.
The relaunch comes as the organization celebrates its 50-year anniversary and marks a continued effort to provide education, training and grocery distribution more effectively to individuals across the Champlain Valley.
