Feeding Champlain Valley celebrating 50 years

Anna McMahon, Associate Director of Feeding Champlain Valley, reflected with My NBC5 on the 50 year history of Feeding Champlain Valley early this week. "Our longevity as an organization is due to the fact that we didn't accept the status quo," McMahon shared, "We know that it's not something that we can accomplish alone as an organization. We have to partner with schools, medical providers, and nonprofits like the Vermont Food Bank, Hunger Free Vermont, and our colleagues at CVOEO."

CVOEO's Feeding Champlain Valley continues to play a crucial role in the community, providing vital food access to hundreds of people daily across Addison, Chittenden, Franklin, and Grand Isle Counties.

Paul Dragon, Executive Director of CVOEO, emphasizes the organization's ongoing commitment.

"We serve so many meals here a day, hot meals, and then we get food boxes out to people. People are so appreciative. Food is a foundation of our community; it's what brings people together," Dragon said.
