Coordinated Entry Assessment Specialist


 The Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity (CVOEO) Administration department has an opening for a Coordinated Entry Assessment Specialist.  The Coordinated Entry (CE) Assessment Specialist supports the Chittenden County Homeless Alliance (CCHA) - a coalition of individuals, organizations, and government entities working to end homelessness in Chittenden County - by providing standardized intake, assessment, and referral services for people experiencing homelessness or at-risk of homelessness in Chittenden County. Working under the direction of the CE System Administrator, and out of a variety of different locations with the intent to serve the population as needed, the Specialist provides front-end access to the CE system for consumers and works to ensure timely access to services for people experiencing a housing crisis. If you have a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline and one to two years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills have been acquired; excellent interpersonal skills, including an ability to foster a mutually supportive professional environment and a capacity to interact effectively with staff from multiple agencies, people experiencing homelessness, and the wider public; and excellent verbal and written communication skills - bilingual abilities are a plus; we’d like to hear from you! This is a 25 hours / week position.
