Classes

You still want to learn, we still want to help you grow!

To help protect everyone's health, we are not offering classes in person at this time. We will still be holding some of our classes via webinar. To attend a webinar, you will need a smartphone, tablet, laptop, or computer and access to the internet. You will be able to hear the instructor and the other people in the class, and see the instructor's screen. If your device has a microphone, you will also be able to talk during the class -- if not, you can type into the chat box. While this feels different than an in-person class, we are finding people are still asking great questions in the webinars and learning about their personal finances.

At this time, we are holding Keys to Credit and Spend Smart classes by webinar. Our Creating a Financial Future classes are on hold for the time being. Check back in the coming weeks, because we hope to offer them again soon.

On the class lists below, you will see the location for April and May classes as "Webinar" and for June classes as "Burlington" or "St Albans." We know that the April and May classes will be webinars. We do not know if the June classes will be in person or by webinar. Please check back in the coming weeks for updates as we learn more about Covid-19 and the timeline for returning to in-person classes.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

  • “Spend Smart 1 & 2” (2 sessions) — Join us for a practical introduction on how to manage your money. If you experience regular financial stress, you struggle to save, or you want to feel more organized financially, this class is for you. This is not your typical money management class: the focus will be on you as an individual and what your personal money goals are.
  • “Keys to Credit” (1 session) — Credit can be established and improved in a variety of ways and we want to help you get ahead of the game. Learn the basics and get smart about the important and often confusing world of credit.
  • “Creating a Financial Future 1 & 2” (2 sessions)—Learn how to create long term savings and take a beginning look at investing. If you have basic money management under control and want to take charge of your finances for the future, this class is for you. To begin building wealth over a lifetime, this class is a great first step.
