About The Fair Housing Project (FHP)
If you or your organization needs information, training, or referral services regarding fair housing rights and responsibilities the FHP is here to assist you.
The FHP works with our partners to eradicate illegal housing discrimination in Vermont. We may be able to help you through our information and referral services, fair housing education, group training, workshops and outreach. We work in collaboration with organizations such as the Vermont Human Rights Commission, Vermont's Regional Planning Commissions, Vermont Legal Aid and the Vermont Department of Housing & Community Development.
The FHP offeres a range of services - from referrals for household with fair housing complaints to trainings for municipal officials, planners, zoning administrators, property managers and others.
> MUNICIPALITIES, TOWN OFFICIALS, AND OTHER ORGANIZATIONS: The FHP provides fair housing assessments and/or training regarding compliance with staqte and federal fair housing law and Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing (AFFH).
> INDIVIDUALS: If you have been illegally discriminated against in housing you can take action and we can help. The FHP can help with fair housing law enforcement in Vermont through individual consultation and appropriate referral services.
